Pearly in Pink Cardigan
Looking for a beginner friendly cardigan pattern with a twist? try the Pearly in Pink Cardigan! Made with no German short rows and a colorwork bow on the back. If you are a beginner you can add the bow on the back at the end with a duplicate stitch and if you’re a bit more advanced you can use intarsia to knit the bow during knitting the body.

Construction
The cardigan is worked top down using raglan increases to shape the yoke. Once the yoke is finished the sleeve stitches will be put on hold and the body is worked up, while at the same time knitting the bow image on the back piece using colorwork. You are expected to know how to knit with colorwork techniques. If not, you can embroider the bow on the backpiece after finishing the sweater using the duplicate stitch. The sleeves are worked up in the round and cast off using a non-rolling edge technique. Lastly, a neck edge rib and button bands will be knit up in 1x1 rib.
