This simple hat brings you back to the pre-industrial era, where life was focused on function. Practical and warm, you will feel like you have stepped out of a historic setting.

The yarn used is my handspun in a colorway I call Turning Sweetgum. Any number four weight yarn will work for this, as the pattern is easy to fit and forgiving. Stiffener can be added to the inside of the brim to make the hat rigid, but it is very nice a bit floppy.
