This can cover is part of ‘The Explore Collection’, three patterns which have been designed to complement one another as a set or to shine as stand-alone pieces. Therefore they have been made available to purchase as single patterns to allow the opportunity to mix and match to suit your needs.

Recently, my patterns have been inspired by nature and the sea. It is no secret that I love the peace and tranquility that walking along a deserted beach provides.

Walking along, nothing is identical, whether it is the sand dunes, driftwood, stones, shells or the puddles leftover by a receding tide.

I originally made a can cover as a child in a girl group called the ‘Brownies’. We wrapped and stuck a strip of fabric around cans and used them as storage containers for pencils. Mine has stood the test of time and I am still using it today!

The Pebble Can Cover is the first design in ‘The Explore Collection’. It reminds me of the pebbles, stones and textures found along the beach.

• Schachenmayr Catania Grande (Worsted Weight - Medium (4))

• 100% mercerised cotton

• The cotton yarn holds its shape well and has brilliant stitch definition. It is perfect for home decor items.

• 3.5mm (US E-4) crochet hook
• 4.0mm (US G-6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

MY CAN IS BIGGER, CAN I STILL USE THIS PATTERN?

Yes! Instructions have been included within the pattern to allow you to adjust the size to fit a different size can or cylindrical container.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL STITCHES?

A couple of rounds in this pattern call for working in the third loop. A photo tutorial has been included to explain how to work this technique.
