Here is a nicely textured hooded scarf that can be worked with two strands of Aran weight yarn held together for added warmth, or a single strand of #5 bulky weight yarn.

This pattern includes two files that give you three finishing options:

  • Worked in two separate pieces and then seamed together
  • Worked in two separate pieces with an added button band for making the hood completely removable
  • A tutorial on how to add a fleece lining to the hood for added warmth

However you decided to complete your hooded scarf it is sure to catch attention!

Crochet Level: Advanced Beginner - Intermediate

Suggested Yarn: Choose any combination of yarns (2 strands held together) that will ultimately give you a bulky weight when held together, or use a single strand of a bulky #5 weight yarn.

Gauge: Although gauge and yarn amounts are included, it will vary from person to person depending on fiber used, hook size and tension of each individual.

Errata Notice: The correct number of sts for the HDC3L is 223 (not 224) as stated in the scarf portion.
