This pattern is written for a 15 x 15 placemat but can be completely customizable to fit your needs, whether you prefer a different size square, rectangle, or possibly a table runner. You can make this smaller for a dish cloth and put scrubby yarn in the stripe section as well.

++Worsted Weight #4 Yarn in 3 Colors, prints (I double stranded mine, personal preference)
++H (5.0mm) Hook
++Stitch Markers
++Scissors
++Darning Needle
++Tape Measure
