Pebble Socks
This is a pattern for top-down socks, made on 5 DPNs. The socks are simple and elegant. The pattern repeat is easy to remember, but a lot more fun than plain boring ribbing or stockinette.
Even an adventurous beginner can manage it. I wanted some texture, but at the same time I did not want to loose the joy and wonder of variegated colors. This is my way of having both at the same time. I think this pattern is ideal to show off that special handpainted yarn. It would also look wonderful with the self-striping yarn like Regia or Opal or in solids.
Another reason why I like this pattern is that it will hug the skinniest foot, but at the same time will stretch to accommodate a plump one too.
