Pebbles Of Paradise
The pattern has no complicated stitches beyond the stacked stitch, which makes it suitable for all crochet levels. A novice with little instruction could create this shawl.
I have only created the one size. It is very wide and would be suitable for most adults. If you wanted to make this for a child or smaller adult you could stop earlier. This will produce a garment that isn’t as wide and is more shallow.
I have added a gauge for this, but as no measurements are taken to make it, doesn’t really matter if your swatch doesn’t exactly match the measurements given.
You only need the one hook and enough yarn. The yarn i used was a standard acrylic (no specific branding) and it’s weight is 14 WPI (wraps per inch).
The approximate number of yards I used was 1300, just divide this by the number of yards on the yarn label and you will get the number of skeins/balls/cakes that you need.
I would not advise using a cotton for this unless you double it up to get to the correct WPI. If you do use a cotton you will need to adjust the hook size up, and you may lose some of the structure of the stitches.
