This was designed to use up 2 part skeins of NDS precious silk that I loved. Other test knitters have used dk and fingering weight yarns in a mix of fibres from wool to linen. This pattern is quite adaptable to yarn and tension- work at a gauge that will provide a good drape when blocked.

The inspiration came from sitting watching pebbles on a beach being washed over by the waves….. Can you see it?

My final shawl measured 110 cm x 50 cm after blocking- it grows dramatically, but add more ‘waves’ if you want to go bigger.
