I needed a pattern for stones or pebbles but I couldn’t find one I liked, so I made my own. These are knit in the round and are not felted (though fulling them probably looks nice too!) so they require minimal finishing. Since each pebble uses little yarn, they’re a good way to use up scraps.

The size of the finished pebbles will obviously vary with the type of yarn you use and your gauge. One pebble that I knit with fingering weight yarn and 2.5 mm needles is roughly 5 cm (2”) long.

Tip: knit with two yarns held together for more colour variation.
