This is a beginner level crochet pattern that uses the chain stitch, double crochet and slip stitch to create a simple grid design. It is fairly easy once you get a hang of the increases that take place at the start, corner and end of each row.

Using a 4.5mm crochet hook, the finished size is 130cm(w) x 60cm (l).
You may extend the shawl with a matching or contrast colour stripe by simply increasing at the start, corner and end of each row.
