Inspiration:
I wanted to create a sweater, that is both luxurious and cost effective. Simple yet striking, cozy yet elegant. I hope you think I succeeded.
I went for a simple motif with enough contrast to draw the eye, but simple stockinette stitch to show off the yarn.
Mongolian cashmere does deliver. Its softness, and drape and cozy embrace.
The name is borrowed from a rural community in Nova Scotia, located in St. Margaret’s bay. Something about the fabric reminds me of the sandy shores and serenity of that region.

Yarn:
Main Colour (MC):
Mongolian Cashmere by Bauanahygge (fingering) 1 ball=370 yards (338 m) accompanied by nylon supporting thread.
Colour 2927 (Beige)
Amounts needed: 5, (5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7 ,8 8, 9) balls.

Contrast colour (CC):
Rowan fine lace (lace) 1 ball=440 yards (400m) held double.
Colour Noir (Black)
Amounts needed: 1

Sizes:
xs (s, sm, m, ml, l, lxl, xl, xxl,3xl, 4xl) will be provided in consecutive order. If one number given, it applies to all sizes. See schematics for more measurements.
Finished bust circumference: 35.5, (37.5, 39, 41, 42.5, 46.5, 50, 53.5, 57, 61, 66)in
90, (95, 99, 104, 108, 118, 127, 136, 145, 155, 168)cm
Notions:
• Size 4 US(3.5 mm) knitting needles suggested: interchangeable needles with variety of cord lengths, as well as DPN’s in same size (if not using Magic Loop), or sizes needed to achieve gauge.
• Stitch marker to denote BOR, additional marker to denote the side (SM),
• Darning needle.

Gauge:
23 sts/44 rows in 10 cm/4”, using US4 (3.5 mm) needles in stockinette stitch, knit in the round, using the “Faux in-the-round method” in the link:

https://www.purlsoho.com/create/swatching-for-circular-ga...

Note: you may find that the stranded section is tight compared to the plain knit rounds, if that is the case a larger needle may be needed for the colorwork, however Testers of this pattern did not find the need to do so.
Skills required:
• Working stranded knitting technique from chart,
• Stretchy CO/ Stretchy BO,
• Simple knit sts,
• Simple increases,
• Backward loop CO,
• Working in the round on small circumference (DPN’s or Magic Loop)
