Peggysue
This is the second pattern in a series named after (knitting) friends in my life. I met Peggysue on Splitcoast Stampers, a Ravelry equivalent for card makers. We became fast friends on a thread called, “The Travelin’ Dork Sisters”. We’ve both embraced our dorkiness and fondly call each other Dork. We really bonded when we found out we both loved to knit socks. So, it is quite apropos that I named my first sock design after her.
This pattern was inspired by a twill basket I made 11 years ago. I love the look of it and how easy it was to complete. Since the twill occurs naturally there are no jags at the beginning and ending of the rounds. I applied what I know of basketry to design the pattern for this sock.
Note: the pattern requires an understanding of sock construction and experience in knitting socks. The pattern is not written for any specific needle type (DPNs, two circulars or magic loop), therefore the knitter needs to be able to move stitches around the needles without explicit instruction for the needle types.
A huge thank you to Jeanette, who did a test knit for me (the teal socks)
As of right now this pattern is for a M/L foot (9-9 1/2 inch circumference)
