Your size’s choice should be based on finished chest measurements as you can shorten/lengthen body and sleeves length if needed. Age label is just there to give a reference.
Measure your child’s chest and then pick a size by adding the number of inches of ease you want.

Materials
• 250 (325, 425, 475, 575, 775, 850// 1050, 1200, 1400) yards OR 275 (350, 470, 520, 630, 850, 930//1150, 1315, 1535) meters of worsted weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• Circular needle and double pointed needles (DPNs) US # 7 (4.5 mm) or any size required to obtain the stockinette stitch gauge
• Circular needle and double pointed needles (DPNs) US # 6 (4 mm) or one size smaller than the bigger ones
• Other: stitch markers, stitch holders
