The Pelle Socks are knitted top down, starting with the cuff in contrast color and merging into a simple but beautiful structured stripe pattern on the leg and foot. The heel and toe are worked in the contrast color only. The heel is a flap and gusset construction, giving a very comfortable fit even for high arched foots.

Yarn substitution
The color-changing yarn is the true star of these socks! If you are looking for an alternative or can’t get your hands on the Schoppel Zauberball, good alternatives would be any self-striping/patterning yarn that you can combine with a solid color. I recommend using 4-ply sock yarn for durability and strength.

Die Pelle Socken werden von oben nach unten gestrickt, beginnend mit dem Bündchen in Kontrastfarbe. Danach geht das Muster über in ein schlichtes, aber schön strukturiertes Streifenmuster an Bein und Fuß. Ferse und Spitze werden in der Kontrastfarbe gearbeitet. Die Ferse ist als Herzchenferse gearbeitet, welche auch bei einem hohen Spann eine sehr bequeme Passform bietet.
