“Pelna” is part of the new collection of patterns inspired by the “Monti Pallidi (Pale Mountains)”, a chain of mountains in the Italian Dolomites.
Legend holds that the Pelne are mysterious creatures that live in the foothills of the Nuvolau mountain range.
Timid and shy, the Pelne prefer to stay away from people, but some solitary hunters say they have seen them walking through the woods, dressed in green. However, as soon as try to talk to them, the Pelne run away and hide in wild rose bushes. And, when the hunters poke around in the bushes, trying to catch them, they turn into white doves and fly away.

“Pelna” is a summer sweater, worked top-down. The yoke is decorated with a delicate floral lace pattern reminiscent of the wild rose buds on the bushes where the Pelne seek refuge.
The sweater has straight, soft lines with elbow length sleeves.
All of the edges are trimmed with decorative flowers and a ribbed border.

When you choose the size you want to knit, consider that the pull is intended to be approximately 5 cm – 2” larger than your actual bust measurement.

ITO Kinu (100% silk, 424 m - 464 yd/50 g - 1.76 oz. skein): 2 (3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4) skeins (820, 880, 950, 1000, 1060, 1120, 1180, 1230, 1290 m – 897, 963, 1039, 1094, 1160, 1225, 1291, 1346, 1411 yd).
Circular needle:
size 3 mm – US 2.5 with 40, 60 and 80 cm – 16”, 24” and 32” cable.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Other notions:
Tapestry needle.

“Pelna” fa parte della nuova collezione ispirata ai “Monti Pallidi”, la catena montuosa delle Dolomiti italiane.
Secondo un’antica leggenda, le Pelne sono delle creature misteriose che vivono ai piedi di un gruppo montuoso chiamato Nuvolau.
Timide e schive, non amano il contatto con gli uomini, ma alcuni cacciatori solitari raccontavano di averle viste camminare nei boschi, vestite di verde. Quando però provavano a parlare loro, esse scappavano, rifugiandosi nei cespugli di rose selvatiche. E quando ancora i cacciatori frugavano nei cespugli per provare a catturarle, esse si trasformavano in bianche colombe, volando via.

Lo schema “Pelna” è una maglietta estiva lavorata top down con lo sprone tondo decorato con un piccolo motivo traforato a forellini che richiamano i boccioli dei cespugli dove si rifugiavano le Pelne. Lo scollo è ampio, molto adatto alla stagione calda.
La linea del corpo è diritta e morbida, le maniche terminano al gomito.
Tutti i bordi sono finiti con dei forellini decorativi e con un bordo a coste.

numero 3 mm con cavo lungo 40, 60 e 80 cm.
Se necessario modificare il numero degli aghi per ottenere il campione corretto.
