Pemberton Socks
These socks were inspired by the tight turns and hairpin curves of the Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99) between Pemberton and Whistler in British Columbia. The scenery was breath taking and I drank it all in sitting in the shotgun seat of our truck gratefully knitting away on these socks.
I wanted the perfect cabled socks to wear in my favorite boots - not quite knee highs - but taller than the usual ‘just-above-the-ankle’ socks. I also wanted squishy cables that were easily memorized for a perfect travel project and were still delicate enough to wear in a pair of boots. I hope you love these as much as I do!
Knit top down with heel flap, gusset, and basic wedge toe, these socks knit up in a flash in sport weight yarn.
Two different leg lengths are provided - tall and short. (The tall boot socks have leg shaping.)
The pattern is written simply and can be followed for either Magic Loop, small circumference circular needle(s), or DPN sock knitting methods.
