Pembetatu
This asymmetrical sideways triangle shawl’s name comes from its shape. Pembetatu is the Swahili word for triangle. It features a textured oval motif cut into garter stitch. The juxtaposition of motifs and texture is one of the things I love about Swahili woodwork.
