Yarn Manos del Uruguay Maxima (100% merino wool; 219 yd / 3.5 oz): #M2552 foil (gray; MC), 4 (4, 5, 6, 7, 7) skeins (see Notes). Manos del Uruguay Serpentina (100% merino wool; 142 yd / 3.5 oz): #P1560 Florence (multi; CC), 1 skein. Yarns distributed by Fairmount Fibers.

Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 16” circular and set of double-pointed. Size 8 (5 mm): 32” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 17 sts and 24 rnds = 4” in St st with MC on larger needle.

Notes The body of the pullover is worked from the bottom up and begins by working back and forth in rows to make the vent; it is then worked in the round to the underarms, then the front and back are worked separately back and forth. The sleeves are worked from the bottom up and begin with a provisional cast-on; they are worked back and forth in rows at first to make thumbholes, then worked in the round to the underarms with the sleeve cap worked flat. The provisional cast-on is removed and the cuffs are worked in the round from the top down.

The sample (size 37.75”) used almost all of four skeins of MC. Consider purchasing an extra skein as insurance.
