Ideally sized 49” by 60” for your sofa or foot of your bed, this hearty super wash wool blanket features colors and markings inspired by Pendleton’s 5th Avenue Glacier National Park Blanket.

Thomas Kay, an English weaver, established himself in Oregon in 1863 working in wool mills where he fine tuned his expertise in blanket weaving. He first organized and ran a mill in Brownsville Oregon, becoming the superintendent until 1889 when he established his own wool mill in the Salem area turning out quality wool blankets to the locals.

Kay’s daughter met and married a merchant, C.P. Bishop, which helped market the wool blankets and establish, with the help of their three sons, what was to become Pendleton Woolen Mills.

In the early 1900’s Pendleton Woolen Mills designed a series of America’s National Parks blankets and this pattern was one of the first honoring, Glacier Park National Park.

Crochet your own piece of history with a blanket your family will love to pass down for generations.

The pattern is 3 pages, in English using US terminology.
