Cotton, Cotton, Cottton. The most important piece of information is to use cotton yarn. Since this is a potholder, size really doesn’t matter, although thicker yarn and bigger hooks leads to bigger penguins.

The pattern calls for White, and body color, a color for the beak and feet, and black for the eyes. The eyes and beak don’t need much yarn at all, and could be made with scraps from other projects.
