What you need to know: single stitch, slip stitch, magic ring, increases, decreases

Materials needed for this pattern:
3mm hook, Light Worsted weight Cotton yarn. Any size yarn will work! Just be sure to use the correct hook. I purchased 100% cotton 8/8 yarn from Hobbii
You will also need: Darning needle, Poly fil Stuffing, and 2x10mm safety eyes per pengin
Yarn measurements:
Basic penguin pieces:
Grey yarn: used for wings and head – 7 yards
White yarn: used for eyes – 1 yard
Orange yarn: used for beak and feet – 1.5 yards
Yarn used for the body (colour varies) – 8.3 yards
Yarn used for the stomach (colour varies) – 1.1 yards
Yarn used for the hood (colour varies) – 4 yards for each layer (two layers/colour per penguin)

Frog:
Green yarn for body, hood and frog eyes
Dark green yarn for inside hood and stomach
Green yarn for eyes – one yard
10mm or 20mm safety eyes

Fox:
Dark reddish orange for body, fox ears and fox tail – 2.5 yards
White for fox ears and tail and inside hood – one yards

Bee:
Yellow yarn for body hood and antenna stem – 0.5 yards
Brown yarn for stripe, inside hood and antenna – 2 yards
White yarn for wings – 3 yards

Unicorn:
Pink yarn for unicorn body, hood and ears – 0.5 yards
Dark pink yarn for inside hood and stomach
Other colours (six colours for the tail and mane) each colour: 1.3 yards
