Penny the Penguin loves to ice skate and is a big fan of the ice skating at the Winter Olympics. She always wraps up warm in her ear muffs that her mom made her.
The pattern uses US terminology. I have used light worsted yarn to crochet her and a 3.5mm (E-4) hook.

Single Crochet
Slip Stitch
Crocheting in the round
Chains
In addition to normal crocheting supplies you will need White felt, 5mm Black beads and a pipe cleaner.
The finished penguin is 5” 1/2 inches high including the legs, the body is 3 1/4” inches.
