Meet Penny the Penguin - a chubby baby penguin who loves to smile and giggle! Like Mumble from Happy Feet, she also loves to
dance!
Getting an exact gauge is not important for this project.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
- This item is a PDF that you download through Ravelry
- The finished penguin ends up approximately 10cm tall using similar yarn and hook size. Thinner yarn and a smaller hook size will produce a smaller toy and vice versa
- Gauge is not important - just make sure the stitches are tight enough so that the stuffing doesn’t show through
- The pattern is available in both UK and US terminology (there should be separate files)
- The pattern includes step-by-step instructions for sewing
SKILLS
- Suitable for advanced beginners / intermediate
- Magic circle, double crochet (single crochet), half treble crochet (half double crochet), treble crochet (double crochet), increase, invisible decrease, crocheting around a chain, continuous rounds, joined rounds, front loop only, back loop only
MATERIALS
- 8 ply (DK) cotton in charcoal - approx. 8g / 20m / 22yd
- 8 ply (DK) cotton in off-white - approx. 2g / 5m / 5yd
- 8 ply (DK) cotton in grey - approx. 25g / 61m / 67yd
- 8 ply (DK) cotton in pink - approx. 10g / 25m / 27yd
- 3mm crochet hook
- 8mm safety eyes
- Yarn needle
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing
