  • The Penny Tote Bag is worked in a moss stitch pattern from the bottom up. First, the bottom of the bag is knitted, after which stitches are picked up and knitted along the bottom edge to begin working the bag in the round. Once the desired length is reached, the stitches are divided to knit the handles separately back and forth. When both handles are complete, they are joined using the three-needle bind-off. Finally, a lining is sewn and attached around the inside edge of the bag.
