This is a textured hat, that ends with a pentagon ring on the hat. I am a science nerd, and it reminded me of a 5 carbon sugar or pentose ring.

Sizing: The finished brim circumference is 16 in, the hat body circumference is 17.5 in. This fits a head circumference of 20-23 inches.

I have also knit this pattern with KnitPicks Swish DK with excellent results :)
