this pattern is based off of my peony flower pattern, but with more details/insturctions. I have added some hints to help the project along.

the small needles with this yarn will make the knitting tight and help maintain the shaping of the flower.

Please note that there is some crocheting involved in making this lariat. The neckcord and a small piece on the back of the flower is crocheted. If you prefer knitting, you can subsitute the neckcord with an I-cord and knit a small square for the backing instead.
