People Will Say We’re in Love was inspired by Curly and Laurey’s romance in Rodgers’ & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! Their courtship goes back and forth dancing along in step with the music of love - or in this case a 1, 2, 3 Stitch of alternating rows of color. Then their romance gets really topsy turvy before settling down again and they ride off to their happy ever after in that surrey with the fringe on top.

This pattern begins with a 1, 2, 3 stitch combination of alternating rows of color, followed by a single crocheted color work panel, and then back to a few rows of 1, 2, 3 stitch again. A nice edging of single crochet ties it all together. The finished result would make a nice square for a crazy quilt or to use as a pillow front. You could even use some nice cotton yarn and keep going with the 1, 2, 3 stitch alternating rows and make yourself a nice hand towel!
