Pepita purse
This pattern is a pretty purse for make-up or small knitting accessories! We love slipstitch knit, and this purse provides ample opportunities to practice this technique. This one is designed with houndstooth pattern, also called Pepita checks, named after the spanish dancer Pepita. Traditionally the pattern is used for twill weavings. The purse is worked in Önling No. 2, our soft, delicious 100% sustainable Merino wool. Make one for yourself, and perhaps a few extra for Christmas presents.

The purse is worked in the round, from the bottom up, starting with a provisional, crochet cast-on, continued straight on with a slipstitch pattern according to the diagram, and a normal bind-off.
The provisional cast-on is carefully unraveled, and the bottom closed with Kitchener stitches. The purse is then turned inside out, the corners are made, and the lining and zipper are attached.
