There’s a lot that’s modern and a lot that’s retro in this oversized neo-Icelandic pullover. Its ample size and shaped hem are set firmly in the now, but its unisex shape and graphic color play has roots deep in the 70’s. Pepper & Snow represents years of knitting history, from the original Icelandic techniques to the pattern flyers familiar to our mothers, to the modern craft of knitting we enjoy today.

Yarn Brown Sheep Company Nature Spun Sport (100% wool; 184 yd/ 1.75 oz): #601S pepper (MC), 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 14) balls; #N03S grey heather (CC1) and #740S snow (CC2), 1 ball each.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): 16” and 32” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notes This pullover is worked in the round from the top down. The hem and back neck are shaped with short-rows.
