Peppering
When it is raining, but not yet a ‘storm’, my Texas relatives always say “it’s just pepperin’ down”. I designed this shawl to emulate a gray sky that is pepperin’ down rain (which it has been doing for days and days), for a new ebook collection The Overskyet Trio that also includes my other shawls, Overskyet, and La Marée.
Worked sideways from the left tip, this asymmetrical triangle is a calming garter stitch knit. In two colors of fingering weight yarn, the stripes include yarnover ‘droplets’, great for a beginner, and a quick knit for more advanced knitters. Instructions are written only, no charts.
You should already be familiar with binding off in a rib pattern. Also, a row counter is very useful for this pattern.
Materials used for sample (weighs 135g):
Garnstudio Drops Flora:
2 skeins Medium Gray for color A (68% of total used)
1 skein Light Gray for color B (32% of total used)
Pattern is written in American terminology.
