“Percolate” because the spots remind me of coffee, but then, almost everything in life reminds me of coffee… Mmmmm… Where was I…

Ok, maybe I’m selfish, but I decided to make some patterns for things I want to wear instead of giving to my niece or nephews or things my friends ask me for… You know? This is one of my first along those lines, as well as the Cottage Pansy shoulder bag, also in my Ravelry store.

Includes instructions on how to make bigger or smaller purses, how to adapt the pattern for your own ideas, and how to make a cowl or hot-pad from the same pattern.

Materials:
Worsted Weight Yarn
145 yards or 3 oz (132 meters or 85 grams) Main Color
75 yards or 1.5 oz (68 meters or 43 grams) Contrasting Color
Magnetic sew-on snaps
Needle and thread to attach snaps
Crochet hook, size H/8 (5 mm)
Tapestry needle to attach sided and handles and weave in ends

I used cotton yarn because it doesn’t stretch as much and it makes the cluster stitch/baubles stand out better. You can use pretty much any yarn though. Gauge is not crucial for the pattern.

Written with US style terminology and standard crochet abbreviations. Includes a conversion chart for UK terminology. All measurements in US and metric.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Concepts and stitches used: chain, single crochet, treble crochet, working in front or back loops only,
Explained and illustrated: cluster stitch, seaming along remaining front or back loops, crocheting a cord (for the handles) with the “back” facing out

Fully tested and proofread (by people other than myself even!)
