I started making my own rags a few years ago. I love them a lot more than regular rags although there are occasions I’ll pick up those giant packs from Walmart. It’s usually when I’m not interested in keeping them clean or we are doing something for homeschool etc.

I designed these three rag patterns with heavy duty kitchen clean up in mind! With lots of kiddos it’s important to have something super absorbent on hand! Sometimes I will even use these rags as a potholder. Their thickness allows for me to use them to wipe up the table or grab the scalding handle of my cast iron skillet.

I also only use 100% cotton yarn. It makes these easier to wash and take care of as well as making them durable for kitchen and bathroom use!
