I’ve always been a fan of neat, even geometric patterns. There’s just something so satisfying about what can be created from simple shapes. For this design, I created my own plaid stitch that creates a simple pattern with a classic feeling and is great for practicing your tapestry crochet skills.

This cute handbag is small and light while still being big enough to carry all your essentials. It’s a fun accessory for a day when you don’t want to be weighted down, and you can add extra security by including a snap or magnetic closure along the top.

Tools and Materials:
Yarn: Weight 4 (or whatever meets gauge)
Color A - 89 yds/81m
Color B - 70 yds/64 m
5 mm crochet hook (or whatever meets gauge)
Cord or shoelaces
Fabric for lining
Sewing thread (in a similar color to your yarn)
Sewing needle (machine optional)
Tapestry needle
Optional: snap or magnetic clasp\
