Perimeter Shawl
A simple 2-color triangular shawl that works with only 1 color each row.
Measurements 76” wide x 23” tall / 193 cm wide x 58.5 cm tall
Yarn Yarn A, Fingering Weight - 730 yards / 670 meters, Knit One Crochet Too, Crock-O-Dye (65% Wool, 20% Nylon, 15% Silk), Amber
Yarn B, Heavy Fingering or Light Sport Weight - 80 yards / 75 meters, Malabrigo Rastita, Mostaza (100% Merino), note: use same or slightly heavier weight for Yarn B
Needles US #5 / 3.75 mm circular needle
Gauge 19 sts x 34 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.
• Gauge given is based on recommended yarn and semi-aggressive blocking.
• Gauge is not critical in shawls unless exact measurements are desired.
• If listed gauge cannot be achieved, block swatch and change needle size to change the fabric density to your liking. Be aware that amount of yarn needed may change.
Design and Construction
• The triangular shawl is knitted flat from bottom up.
• One color is worked on each row.
• Textures created by modified twisted stitches.
