I’ve incorporated the crochet cross-stitch stitch pattern into a simple dc beanie to form four ridges down the sides of the hat, and then finished it all off with a basic sc trim so as to not take away from the ridge-effect.

Materials Used:

Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand- 100% Acrylic Size “4” Medium Weight yarn- Approx. 120 yards used from a (3.5 oz/100 g; 170 yds/156 m) skein- Color “Periwinkle”

Size J/10- 6mm hook

Stitch marker (to mark beginning of round)

Yarn needle (for weaving in ends)

Scissors

Finished Measurements: 8.5” length, 22” circumference (unstretched)

Gauge: 14 dc= 4 inches, and 8 rounds in dc= 4 inches
