Perlatilla is a slouchy beret.
The flower forms the crown, accentuated by twisted stitches and beads. In the middle of each petal you can show off a larger bead prominently. After some purl stitches highlighting the flower edge the pattern transitions smoothly to knit sections with evenly placed beads. These show off the handdyed yarn and the matching beads beautifully. Twisted ribbing finishes the hat smoothly. The hat is started from the middle using Emily Ocker´s circular cast on. The beads are placed with a crochet hook, so you do not need to prestring all beads beforehand. There is both a chart and written instructions included.

In a separate file you can find an easy-to-read pattern, with font size in 14 and larger charts.

Please note that the beads make the hat heavy, some people appreciate this, others may not.

Beads: 370(80g)/ 440(100g), 520(110g) beads in size 2/0 (6mm) metallic purple lined
Beads: 6 beads in size 0/0 (8mm) transparent aubergine

If you are substituting the yarn: Worsted weight can vary a lot in thickness, so please make sure that a loop of your yarn fits through the beads. Depending on the yarn chosen you might want to consider size 1/0 (6,5mm) beads. You might want to take a length of your yarn to the store and see if the beads you want fit and if you like the look.
