Bei der Doppelsocke werden beide Socken eines Paares zusammenhängend gestrickt, später getrennt und beide Socken separat abgekettet. Dabei wird eine Socke von der Spitze zum Bündchen – also Toe-up –, die zweite klassisch Top-down vom Bündchen Richtung Spitze gestrickt.

„Doublle sock“ or „twin sock“ (Doppelsocke) is knitted all one piece starting from the toe of the first sock and ending at the toe oft he second. So one sock is knitted toe up and the second top down with a piece of waste yarn between the two cuffs. After finisching the pair split it and bind off.
