PERPENDICULAR is a triangular, sideways, bias knit shawl, worked from the right tip to the left side of the triangle. It features garter stitch stripes as well as two color brioche. It comes in two sizes - small and large. You can choose two colors of yarn or work each section in different color combinations. It works great with solid as well as variegated yarns.

The small sample is knit with Miss Knitski Merino yarn in colors Pearl (light grey) and Smoky Plum (dark grey), the large sample is knit with Malabrigo Sock yarn in Light of Love (pink) and Eggplant (grey).

Yarn: 2 (for small size) or 4 (for large size) skeins of fingering weight yarn (400m in 100g) in two contrasting colors

Needles: 3,5mm (4 US) 80 cm circular needles

Gauge: 23 stitches on 56 rows 10 cm x 10 cm in garter stitch, blocked.
The gauge is not critical, however big difference may affect the yardage and shawl size.

Other: Stitch marker, removable marker (for brioche decrease), tapestry needle
