About the design

This hat was inspired by the beautiful wool it was woven with; Mister Merino Sock by Mister Wool in the color Persimmon. I hope you can be inspired by your own palette and play with colors and textures to make it yours.
The piece is knitted from the bottom up with a folded brim, continuing along the body in a slipped stitch motif. Decreases are made to shape the crown. Finally, the spikes formed by the slipped stitches are embroidered with a contrast color to form vertical lines.

Sizes: Newborn (baby, toddler, children) (adult small, adult medium, adult large); 1 (2, 3, 4) 5, 6, 7 equivalent to 34 (40, 44, 49) 53, 56, 58 cm of head circumference (finished measurements, unstretched) with 0 - 3 cm of positive ease.

Gauge: 23 sts & 37 rows = 10 cm, measured over stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Yarn:
Main color: About 100 (130, 150, 170) 200, 240, 268 meters of Fingering weight yarn.
Contrast color: About 40 (50, 60, 70) 90, 110, 130 of DK weight yarn (it can be strands held together of fingering weight (2 strands) or lace weight (3 strands)).

Needles: 3.25 mm circular needles with a cable of 20 - 35 cm, for brim and body.
3.25 suitable needles to work small circumference, for the crown (DPNs, magic loop, etc).
Or needles size to get gauge.

Notions: 1 stitch marker for BOR, tapestry needle, mats and pins for blocking.

Note: for the folded brim, you will need a second pair of 3.25 mm circular needles.

Sobre el diseño

Este gorro fue inspirado por la hermosa lana con la que fue tejido; Mister Merino Sock de Mister Wool en color Persimmon. Espero que puedas inspirarte en tu propia paleta y jugar con diferentes colores y texturas para hacerlo tuyo.
La pieza está tejida de abajo hacia arriba con el borde doblado y continúa a lo largo del cuerpo con un motivo de punto deslizado. Se hacen disminuciones para dar forma a la corona. Finalmente, las espigas formadas por los puntos deslizados se bordan con un color de contraste para formar líneas verticales.

Muestra: 23 p & 37 vtas = 10 cm, medido sobre punto jersey, post bloqueo.

Hilado: Color principal: aproximadamente 100 (130, 150, 170) 200, 240, 268 metros de hilado grosor fingering.
