These fairisle Christmas stockings are knitted cuff down in the round with short row heels and wedge toes, which are grafted using Kitchener Stitch. The stockings feature traditional fairisle / Nordic stranded designs. The stockings have been designed to have a quality feel with a thick double cuff, which can be personalised with a name using duplicate stitch (alphabet charts included in pattern). The stockings are finished with a strong hanging loop for hanging on the mantlepiece on Christmas Eve.

The fairisle designs are repeated on the rear of the stockings, so they can be hung either way around.

The pattern is very detailed and features guidance on colourwork and photo tutorials for the provisional crochet cast-on, duplicate stitch and joining the double cuff. The pattern also includes charts for the entire alphabet, upper and lower case, and blank charts so you can practice your lettering before you begin to stitch the name in.

Each stocking measures approximately 48cm (19 inches) from cuff to toe, not including the hanging loop, and the leg is approximately 15cm (6 inches) wide measured flat.
