This customisable bobble blanket has been designed to allow anyone to easily personalise their work. First, by cutting and pasting letters onto the ready made bobble stitch pattern templates, baby’s name can be easily added. Then just follow either the chart or the written rainbow pattern to complete the motif part of the blanket.

This is a bobble stitch chart pattern. The grid represents stitches and rows of crochet. The white squares are a UK double crochet (US single crochet) and the coloured squares represent a bobble stitch. See the Melu Crochet Bobble Stitch Guide for help.

The word BELIEVE has been added to the blanket in the photo. You can add any name between 1-9 letters using the template.

Materials
For the rainbow shown, stylecraft special dk yarn was used- amounts given in brackets:
Dc: Double crochet in background colour (White 150g)
R bst: Red Bobble Stitch (Lipstick, 100g)
O bst: Orange Bobble Stitch (spice, 70g)
Y bst: Yellow Bobble Stitch (saffron, 60g)
G bst: Green Bobble Stitch (pistachio, 75g)
B bst: Blue Bobble Stitch (turquoise, 50g)
I bst: Indigo Bobble Stitch (royal, 50g)
v bst: Violet Bobble Stitch (plum. 30g)

The amount of yarn given is approximate, you may use more or less yarn depending on your tension and chosen brand, and also your chosen name for the personalisation will alter your amounts.

Size
The pattern will work with any yarn size, use the hook size that has been recommended for your yarn. Finished size will depend on your type of yarn, size of hook and your tension.
For my rainbow, I used DK yarn, with a 4mm hook which gave a finished measurement of approx 100cm x 60cm

The patterns will work with any yarn size, just use the hook that has been recommended for your yarn.
