Peru Mitts
These mitts were inspired by my trip to Peru and, specifically, Machu Picchu with the intent of bringing a little culture into my fall/winter wardrobe.
Colorful knitwear is a crucial part of Peruvian culture and history. Imitating the look and feel of traditional Andean knits, these fingerless mitts utilize slipped stitches to create a unique and colorful detail.
Techniques used:
knitting
purling
K1tbl
slipping stitches
working with two different colors
With easy techniques and full pattern instructions, these mitts are perfect for any beginner knitter, or those looking for a quick, yet gratifying, project.
