Petalism
Petalism is a Cable Brioche shawl. It might be a little bit too much for the Brioche knitting beginner, therefor it is advised for the more experienced-challenge-loving Brioche knitters.
The shawl is knitted flat from the top down.
Measurements:
Wingspan: 206cm/81in
From CO to BO edge: 85cm/33.5in
Yarn :
Malabrigo Sock 402m (440yd)/100g.
Dark color (DC) yarn- 240g
Light color(LC) yarn- 210g.
Gauge for 10X10cm / 4x4in:
18 sts and 30 rows in Brioche stitch after blocking.
With 150cm (60in) 3.5mm/ US 4 circular needles or any size to maintain gauge.
Materials:
Gauge size circular needles.
cable needle
10 Stitch markers for pattern changes, 34 optional for brioche pattern repeat.
Tapestry needle to weave in the ends.
Techniques:
- Two Color Brioche worked flat- it is necessary to master this technique before attempting the pattern.
