Petals Cowl combines the short row petals of my Progressions shawls (Progressions, Progression Trios and Progressions Sideways) with sections of stripes to create this statement infinity cowl.

The pattern is comprised of one section that is repeated multiple times. Each section is 6.25” long. You can customize your cowl length by adjusting the number of sections/colours used.

Each section uses approximately 17g, 11g of MC and 6g of CC. Anticipate having 20g per section. One of my samples used a set of 12 - 20g mini-skeins (for an overall length of of 75”). The other sample used a shawl set of one 100g skein and 5 - 20g mini-skeins (for an overall length of 62”) One of my testers knit her cowl with two 100g skeins for a two tone version. There are so many ways to chose your colours. You could also make a single loop version with 4 or 5 sections!

Techniques/Skills: This pattern uses German short rows and yarn over, knit 2 together eyelets for the petals, and a provisional cast on for joining the ends together once the cowl is completed. (You can also do a traditional cast on and sew the ends together, or leave unconnected as a scarf!)
