Petals of Summer Granny Square can be made with any size hook or yarn to suit your requirements, and would make a lovely blanket or clothing.

Sizing which has been tested are both using a 4mm hook
DK - 6.5 inch square
Aran - 8 inch square

Materials
 4 mm Hook/7/F
 DK Yarn/Light Worsted /3/8 ply
 Needle
 Scissors

US Terminology- Intermediate
 Slst: slip stitch
 St: stitch
 Sc: single crochet
 Ch: chain
 Hdc: half double
 Dc: double crochet
 Tr: treble crochet
 Fo: finish off, slst into next st and end.
 Part Cluster : after chain 3, yo twice, insert hook into same st, yo, pull through, yo, pull through two loops on hook, yo, pull through two loopsoops still on hook), repeat twice more. You will now have 4 loops on hook, yo and pull through all loops.
 Cluster: yo twice, insert hook into same st, yo, pull through, yo, pull through two loops on hook, yo, pull through two loops x 4, you will then have 5 loops on hook, yo and pull through all loops
