I found the yarn first. The color is called Lake. It is a beautiful mixture of blue and green resembling crystalline lake water. So the design came next; after the yarn. I wanted an airy shawl with a nice drape, but nothing too heavy. I suppose if one wanted to make this shawl in heavier weight yarns for winter, one could. I would then just use appropriate needle for the yarn chosen.
This is an easy, but beautiful shawl.
