There are 2 pattern files included in this download. Each of the options are shown in the photos, with the difference being in the stripe dominance of the back (start) of the shawl.

Petals Shawl is a light and airy shawl that combines rows of fingering weight and lace weight yarns. The early sections feature the short row petals you’ll find in several of my other patterns.

The pattern starts with the center point, increasing out to the two wing tips.

The MC uses approximately 700 yards of fingering weight yarn.
The CC uses approximately 350 yards of lace weight yarn.

The pattern is written and includes row counter charts.

Skills needed: garter stitch, knit front and back, knit two together, yarn over, german short rows (directions included).

The shawl looks elegant in monochrome, and striking with contrasting colours.
