Petite pearls
Petite pearl is the kids version of Aqua pearl and is suitable for summer knitting.Tiny faux cables with eyelets adds to the style to this swing top, coupled with a scoop neck for a flattering finishing touch - its as fun to wear as it is to knit!
Knitted from top down with raglan shaping its practically seamless.*
Note: This pattern requires the knitter to work from a chart.
Skill level: Intermediate; knitting flat and in the round, following a chart, increases, decreases.
Sizes: Sizes: 18M (2T, 3/4 T, 5/6, 8/10 ) - to fit chest sizes 21 (21, 24, 27, 29)”/ 53 ( 53, 61, 69, 74)cm.
Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch with larger needle.
Materials:
Approximate yards: 320 (400, 580, 740, 800)yards
If using MC and CC as shown in sample.
Approximate yards MC: 100 (100, 180, 190, 200)yards
Approximate yards CC : 220 (300, 400, 550, 600) yards
Needles:
One each 16” and 24” circular needle size US 5 (3.75 mm) and a set of 5 dpn. { for body and sleeves and hem ribbing}
One 16” circular needle size US 4 (3.50 mm) and a set of 5 dpn.{ for neckline ribbing }
Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
Stitch markers(m), as needed. One of different color to denote BOR marker
Large stitch holders or waste yarn.
Tapestry needle for weaving ends.
This pattern is suitable for fingering/sock weight yarn in with solid or tonal color
