Petrichor
Petrichor (/ˈpɛtrɨkər/ or /ˈpɛtrɨkɔər/) -noun- a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather. From the Greek, petra, meaning stone and ichor, Greek Mythology: the fluid which flows like blood in the veins of the gods.
In BBC’s Doctor Who, Amy Pond had to imagine the smell of dust after rain as part of a telepathic password to enter one of the TARDIS’ old control rooms. Later in the series, Amy is seen modeling in an advertisement poster for a perfume with the phrase “Petrichor - For the girl who’s tired of waiting”.
Bracelet lace mimics the peaks of the crown, formed when rain or a drop of liquid hits a surface, beads for the droplets. You can listen to the sound of rain recorded under water here.
