This bottom-up, v-neck vest design plays with crystalline structure by combining color blocks of intarsia with texture. Not up for trying Intarsia? Working the color blocks in the lower half of the vest in stranded color work rather than in intarsia will only make it slightly thicker.

Two collar options are given - either a traditional shawl collar or a “collarless” neck. Both versions have front bands that are customizable for the amount of ease you’d like for the front of the vest.

Sizes: S (M, L, XL)(2XL, 3XL, 4-5XL)

Finished Chest Sizes: 36 (38, 44.5, 48)(52.5, 58, 64)” /91.5(96.5, 113, 122)(133,147,162.5) cm. Choose a size that is 2-4”/10-17.5 cm larger than chest measurement under the arm.

Shawl collar band adds 2.5 (2.5, 2.5, 3)(3.5, 4, 4)” /6 (6, 6, 7.5)(9, 10, 10) cm to each side of front for customization or overlap. These stitches are picked up and worked after the body of the vest is finished.

Sizing Note: To customize for a looser fit, add more stitches both before the shawl collar band and between pattern motif repeats. OR just add more depth to the front collar bands. More specifics are included in the pattern.

Yarns: Any Fingering or light Sport weight yarn will work well for this vest. Three options are listed or choose your favorite fingering or light Sport. Pattern was tested using the following yarns. Three colors of each yarn were used in each sample vest.
